This place was a very good Sushi experience!

The rolls are nothing short of amazing!! At affordable prices. The relaxed ambiance of the lounge. The staff are sweet and attentive. Would definitely visit again.

Wakoya is turning out to be a front runner for my wife and I when it comes to sushi. We have never been let down here, and the service is always very good! I have had 0 issues with the sushi and tempura, and I'm definitely going to dive into the Korean food one of these days.

We went there for lunch, it took them about 20 min to get our order and another 30 min to bring the food. Basically wasted our entire lunch waiting. Slow service.

The food is tasty but the staff is awful! I came in to order take out. I went over the reception desk and saw a girl standing there. I said hello to her, she did not look up. I repeated the hello and also said excuse me. But she totally ignored me until another staff came over and then, she looked at me. I asked for the menu. She just looked towards the direction of the stack of menus without saying a word (she speaks English).

Incredible! One of the best tasting Sushi's I've ever had! Melt in your mouth. I had the California and Flamingo roll, sooo good from beginning to end!

I was surprised at how much food was included in my Bento box! I couldn't even finish it; although I really wanted to because it was so delicious. For $20 I got two rolls, a korean dish, a salad and tempura! The restaurant itself was very nice, I think they recently renovated because it looked very modern and hip. A great place to eat in groups as the tables can be easily reconfigured to allow larger parties to sit together.

Good prices for amount and quality of food, especially lunch time specials. Good place to sit down and catch up with some friends. Similar to Naru next door but more of a friendly, chill atmosphere. Would go again for lunchtime sushi

My friend was finished her dinner before I even got mine. Then a normally fully cooked meal came back half raw. Waited over 30mins to eat. Thank god my friend is patient.

One of my favourite place in the city to get some sushi, also on the plus side they serve excellent Korean food to boot. One of my favourite items has to be their Korean style chicken wings. Atmosphere in the restaurant is very easy going, service can be a but slow at times especially if they're really busy. Overall very good restaurant.

Wakoya Sushi is a Japanese sushi restaurant located in the heart of Osborne Village, serving a fantastic selection of Japanese-inspired appetizers, meals and sushi rolls. The menu is extensive and nicely displayed. They have an excellent selection of vegetarian rolls to choose from, which I loved. Their rolls are always fresh and tasty and beautifully presented on the plate. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, modern and chic, from the wood-grain tables and booths to the simple and beautiful artwork hanging on the walls to the colour scheme. It was very cozy, comfortable and welcoming. The service is friendly and professional. Love Wakoya Sushi! The only reason I don't eat here more often is because it can be challenging and frustrating to get there for dinner in rush hour traffic, as I do not live in the area. Other than that, great restaurant!

The prices are very good, and the wings are delicious. They also accept WeChat and Alipay, which is great.

They put wasabi on your sushi. Other than that, absolutely wonderful! Very fresh! (Provided it's not fried. Not very good for fried stuff)

Good food, good service

Ordered through skip the dishes the other day. We were pretty disappointed with the quality of the food for the high price. Sushi was so dry and quickly fell apart. Only chose them as they were open later than most others. Wouldn't recommend.

The Korean food is so good here! BEST bulgogi in the city! I’ve been to South Korea and even the bulgogi there can’t beat Wakoya’s! My boyfriend and I’s favourite restaurant in Winnipeg!

Food was very good - unfortunately the experience wasn't great. Waited almost an hour for our food.Our server did the best she could. Management needs to figure out how to better staff the restaurant.

Great sushi for mid-range pricing. I live in the area and this place is my go-to for sushi. Menu isn't complicated and they're good at what they do. Less expensive than Naru or Wasabi but quality nonetheless.

As a 1st time visitor to Winnipeg and being from Vancouver, we were looking for a good Bento box for lunch. As recommended from a local shop owner, we made our way to WAKOYA SUSHI. After deciding on what to have, we waited for our meal to show up. Miso soup was was promptly brought to us and very tasty. Very fresh ingredients as the green onions were firm and flavorful as the rest of the soup was too. Shortly after we finished our soup, my Bulgogi Bento arrived. As you can see in my photo, it was very satisfying. Everything in the Bento was excellent. Service was very good, our meal was good and the prices were good. Next time I'm in Winnipeg you find me here either for lunch or dinner.

Such slow service. Terrible service. We waited for 35 minutes to be acknowledged by the waiter. It took another 10 minutes to get the water. Food was okay. Small rolls for the price. Not impressed overall. Go anywhere else in the city.

A warm haven on a wintery night! Everything we tried was prompt and delicious. They even went out of their way to answer all the questions we had! Would recommend.

Fantastic prices, yummy food, quick preparation, friendly service. Very limited seating, good for take out. About a couple of tables inside and a picnic bench outside.

The cashier is always rude with customers, he should change his behaviour or restaurant should hire a new cashier.

The pork katsu was tasty but shouldn't have had so much sauce on it, also it wasn't super tender. The takoyaki was interesting in flavour but not much octopus. It was an ok dinner but not remarkable.

I just had lunch here. We waited 30min to get a servant to ask us about our order. No one refilled our water and wait was too long. Food quality is good and clean. Not my favorite in the city.

Friendly staff and the food is delicious. I go here once or twice a month if I can!I usually get one of the lunch combos. You get a few pieces of sushi, tempura, and miso soup. Absolutely amazing and for the price it is wonderful. Usually around 13 or 14 dollars for a big, healthy lunch.

The veggie pizza is the best thing ever!
